New to the Neighborhood
We're getting to build on Teal Ct in the final section of HCN. We wanted to build a privacy fence and with the large public drainage & utility easement around our potential new property I was wondering if anyone else had experience fences and easement lines.
Also, could anyone comment on water drainage in the area during severe storms - does it accummulate being this close to large body of water, high water table, etc.? I do have a drainage ditch at the rear of the property but was curious is anyone has experienced any flooding. Appreciate any comments. Richard |

Hi and welcome to the neighborhood. I believe Teal Court is in the newer section of the community and your HOA is still controlled by the developer. The older sections (I and IIA) have been turned over to the residents and the Halls Creek North Section I and IIA HOA has been established. Your section has, or will have, a separate HOA and you will need to talk with them concerning the specifics of your proposed fence. Generally speaking, fences of wood and vinyl are permitted and can be placed right up to the property line. A permit from the town is required as is a final inspection. Also, for the water runoff during heavy rain I have not observed, nor heard of any issues. However, your mileage may vary depending on the specifics of your lot. |
